Villa Settore
sleeps up to: 8
Villa Settore is an enthralling 150-square-meter (about 1,615 square feet) villa which sleeps eight people. It features a private swimming-pool, terraces, and a garden with a wonderful view of the sea and Positano. The villa has direct access to an equipped beach through an elevator. The house is also equipped with air-conditioning. Parking space is available upon request.

Villa Settore has four double bedrooms with bathrooms inside each of them; one featuring a Jacuzzi. The house also has a living-room, a kitchen, and a fifth bathroom with shower next to the living area.
It is located about 1 km (about 0.6 mile) away from the center of Positano.

Villa Settore is built on a stretch of high coast located between the state road and the sea. It is nestled within the green of lush Mediterranean vegetation and the blue of the sea and the sky. You reach it after climbing down an outdoor staircase or conveniently taking an elevator. From the elevator to the entrance of the house, you will have about 15 steps to take. When you step onto its terraces, you will see stretched out before you nothing but the sun, the sky and the sea. To the horizon on your right, looking out over the sea, you can trace the “M”-shaped outline of the islands known as “Li Galli," and, to the left, the magnificent scenery of a stretch of coastline that is among the most fascinating areas of the Amalfi Coast.
On this side, the coast is made up of small promontories, on which small clusters of white houses are scattered, interspersed with enchanting inlets and small beaches, in a half-moon shape carved out of the richly-verdant coastline.
If you look down below, while leaning against the railing of your terrace, you will see a stretch of verdant coast which seems to plunge into the sea.
You will feel privileged to be at the heart of such beauty—it will lift your heart and infuse you with the sheer joy of being alive!
Best of all, you will carry this feeling in your heart well beyond the end of your holiday. The sunset and the evening that follows hold still more fascinating moments in store for you. From the terraces of Villa Settore, when evening falls, you will see the moon rise, enormous at first as it peers above the coastline, then becoming smaller and brighter as it climbs higher in the sky and reflects on the sea. By this time, the coast and the sea are full of twinkling lights. When the moon is full, the spectacle is incomparable—and you can enjoy it from your discreetly-illuminated terrace while dining under the stars.

Villa Settore has enthralling terraces with spectacular views of the sea and the coast, whose different levels of scenery lie right before the living-room, all the bedrooms, and around the swimming-pool. All terraces are elegantly furnished with several sun loungers, white umbrellas, and tables and little armchairs in wrought-iron, all placed as almost in a row in front of the balustrade facing the sea. It seems as if all elements were there as if waiting for those guests whose eyes, yours, know how to embrace the beauty and joy of such spectacle of nature, which brings the blue of the sea, the sky, and the incomparable scenery of the coast. Adding to such unrepeatable beauty are red Bougainvillea climbing up stone walls from terracotta vases, lush crowns of green pine trees standing in the garden, and rocks seen down below… All the bedrooms at Villa Settore have direct access to a terrace overlooking the sea, and in each one of them you will find a white table with chairs.

The swimming-pool at Villa Settore is dug in an area of the terrace which has been terraced as well. Actually, the pool seems to be inserted in the rock and it features a rather bizarre shape. It lies in a prominent position, and even from inside, while enjoying a bathe, you will be able to enjoy an incredible view of Positano and the sea down below you. Next to the swimming-pool, there is a large sun-drenched area furnished with sun loungers. The swimming-pool is enclosed by a small gate placed therein to make sure small kids are safe.

The house
The interior of the house is elegant and bright, nicely decorated in white and blue. The house is two-storey high.
On the ground-floor, you will find a bright living-room which has two patio doors leading to the terrace. You will find comfortable couches and a table with chairs. The living-room communicates with the kitchen, spacious and equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, and a fridge with a freezer. Next to the living-room there is also a bathroom with shower.
On the ground floor you will see the first double bedroom of the house. It is very spacious, and it features a bright patio door through which you can see the sea and also move onto the terrace. This bedroom has a bathroom with shower inside.
One indoor staircase leads you from the entrance of the villa to the bedrooms on the upper floor, where you will find three bright bedrooms with bathroom inside each of them, all very similar in terms of furnishing. All bedrooms have a wide view of the sea, each featuring a patio door leading to its own small terrace, furnished with a table and chairs. Two of the bedrooms have a bathroom with shower, while the third has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi and shower. In all the bedrooms of Villa Settore you will find a mini-fridge and a satellite-dish TV.
Linen is changed once a week; however, you may request for daily cleaning service and linen change upon payment.

From Villa Settore, you can reach (using an elevator) a beach with private facilities, located in a picturesque inlet in the shape of a crescent moon. The only other way to reach this beach is by sea. The beach is partly fine gravel, and partly rocky. You will find umbrellas and sun lounging chairs directly on the beach, set on wooden platforms. You will have access to an elegant bar and a fine restaurant which has its own tables on a wooden platform above the sea. On the beach there is a landing place, and you will be able to rent boats or dinghies with or without sailors, and leave from here for your excursions. Beach services operate from May 15 to October 15.

Villa Settore is situated in a complex of vacation villas that fan along the back of a cape that overhangs the sea. The complex extends across a few acres of coastline, and is situated at one of the most panoramic and strikingly beautiful points of the coast. Slightly above the complex is the level of the coast road, and from here down to the sea there is a slope of about 200 meters (about 650 feet). Looking down from the road, you can see gardens set out on irregular terraces that hug the shape of the coastline, and then, further down towards the sea, the full luxury of the Mediterranean flowers and greenery. In the midst of these gardens, you can see here and there the terracotta-paved terraces of the villas with their sun-lounging beds and their urns overflowing with red bougainvillea. The buildings are well hidden among the greenery, and all that can be seen either from above or from the sea are the terraces. The complex is made up of a number of vacation villas, each one completely independent of the others and hidden in the greenery. Access to this entire area is reserved to the guests of the villas. The complex has various communal services available, in particular a elevator that will bring you from the coast road and set you down just a few meters from the house, and an elevator which will carry you between Villa Settore and the beach. The beach is reserved to the residents of the complex. If you have a car, you will be able to leave it in the pay parking area.

The nearest stores are about 1 km (about 0.6 mile) away. You will be close to the SITA bus stop, where you will take the company’s Sorrento – Positano – Amalfi line shuttle and the local yellow bus which takes people to the pedestrian area of Positano.

Nearby tourist attractions: While staying at Villa Settore you will be in an elegant and tranquil location, as well as in a central position from which to visit Sorrento and its coast as well as the Amalfi Coast. You can participate in the intense tourist life of Positano, with its meeting places, shopping streets and restaurants. From the quay of Positano you will be able to board ferries and mini-cruises by day and night to visit the coast, the islands of Capri and Ischia, Amalfi, Sorrento, Naples, Paestum, and the coast of the National Park of Cilento. In Positano, you can practice water and underwater sports. The SITA buses link together the villages along the coast, and it is easy to reach Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Royal Palace of Caserta. From Villa Settore, those who like hiking and climbing will be able to easily reach the famous trail along the ridge of the mountains that overlook the Amalfi Coast. For its extraordinary beauty, made of precipices and breathtaking views, the trail is called “Sentiero degli Dei”: Path of the Gods.
